I was very happy with Bay My Hero’s test in the CIC3* this morning at Blenheim.  He did some lovely work, feeling very confident and relaxed to score 42.  He is lying in 4th place going into tomorrows show jumping phase. The two leaders are a bit of a way ahead with scores in the mid 30’s but most of the scores are in the 40’s and 50’s.

Seacookie also did a very nice test in the CCI3* this afternoon to score 39, 7.2 marks off the leader Christopher Burton (Underdiscussion).   He certainly feels OK but we will see tomorrow if he is feeling back to his best after the disappointment at Burghley.  He starts on the cross country at 14.59.

The 3* cross country course looks good but is certainly on the strong side.  The rail into the dew pond comes early on, the double of corners out of the water are on a very tight line and the questions continue right until the end, with a big corner and a huge open ditch in the last four fences.  The forecast is for quite a hot day tomorrow so it could prove to be a very testing course and I am sure it won't be a dressage competition.  The CIC3* course is shorter and more straightforward, as is usual, and Bay My Hero should enjoy it on Sunday.
