Gatcombe - Friday

My second day of dressage hasn’t gone too badly at Gatcombe.

I was first on with Oratorio in the Intermediate Championships, and he again did some lovely work.  One mistake and an unsettled walk was expensive and he ended up with 32, but everything is really on track and going the right way, so the team here were overall very pleased.

Little Fire was also in the Intermediate Championships and I was also very pleased with him. He did a lovely mistake free test and scored 29.  They are certainly not throwing the marks away here and he deserved at least to be in the 20’s.

Shannondale Percy was my last ride, in the Novice Championships, and did a very relaxed and confident test again.  He also made one unlucky mistake but still managed to score well on 28.9, but he certainly deserved that mark from a ground jury that weren’t budding in generosity.  Again the team here which included Tracie were very pleased with him, and it was great that Sarah his owner has made it over from the States and was able to watch.
