Everyone was very happy that Calmsden was able to run and they certainly did an amazing job getting the show on the road.  They had more decent rain the day before so goodness knows how they did it.  I had a very pleasing day with a very rare 5 out of 5 double clears.  It doesn’t get much better than that.

I had 3 in the Novice, Cayiano went very well to finish third, he did a very nice dressage that I was pleased with.  He only got 30 but he was quite marked down for his walk and halts.  He did a very competent double clear< it thought I was going quite fast but managed to get 3 time faults, but that only lost him one place.

Centari was having his second novice run, he also did a very pleasing test, and then he got a 30.  He jumped a lovely round and I took him quietly cross country as there is no need to hurry yet.

Absolutely was the performance of the day, and did a lovely test to get 27, and his time faults cost him points and prizes.   He was quite spooky at the beginning of the course but settled well into it.

Santini was having his last 100 run and did a nice enough test but it wasn’t his best, he got 31.  He finished on that score in 11th place.

Hussard Brun did a nice double clear with a 28.5 test, in obviously a very competitive section, and finished 9th.

Sara had a happy day with Cusco finishing 8th, also with a double clear.
