We had a very enjoyable and busy day at Bricky.  The sun shone, the going was perfect and all the horses had a very productive day.  I ran Ramdam de Mons, Dynasty and Topaze du Plain in the Novice HC.

Topaze was once again very settled and feeling good.  He did a very smooth test to score 31, he rolled a pole in the show jumping but was much more manageable this time, and he was super cross country, going quite steadily to keep him relaxed.  Ramdam led the dressage on a score of 28 then jumped double clear.  Dynasty had another good run to lie second in the dressage on 29, added 4 in the show jumping and went really well in the cross country.  I pushed them on a little bit cross country as the ground was good, and I thought it would be a good bit of work for them to have pre Osberton.

I rode my nice young horse Yes I Can for the first time and was delighted with him.  He did a good job in the dressage to score 31, he had one fence down and jumped a good clear cross country.  Hector Payne has ridden him in his previous two events, and it was good for me to have a feel of the way he is going at this stage. He is still a real baby but is coming together nicely.

The Graduate finished seventh in his section with a double clear, he was quite on his toes but still managed to score 29 in the dressage.  Hopefully the outing will have focused his mind a little ready for the 5yo Championships at Osberton.

Michael Munden and his team once again did a superb job, putting a massive effort into a hectic schedule.  It was a great opportunity to have a 20x60m dressage arena for all sections, and with slightly different courses for BE100 and BE100+, and Novice and Intermediate Novice.  It was excellent to give those wanting a bit more of a challenge a great opportunity.
