Aston Saturday

We had a good second day at Aston with Top Biats doing a lovely double clear in his first Advanced. He show jumped very well but I annoyingly got 3 time faults. In cross country he felt very confident and genuine, but again I must have been on a bit of a go slow and got 35 time faults.

Secret Night was also on excellent form and show jumped very well and was just unlucky to roll the pole at the last fence. He also felt good cross country and made it all feel easy with a nice clear round and 26 time faults

All the watering on the course had done a great job and just taken the sting out of the ground. There was no need to hurry them and it is great that they have got an advanced run under their belts.

I am hoping the ground is also good tomorrow as I am back with the Intermediates.
