Gatcombe (2) Saturday

The Novice day at Gatcombe yesterday went really well with Deli Dynamic winning the Open Novice and Top Biats finishing second

Dynamic was the first horse to go and I was very pleased with his mark of 27. He jumped a lovely clear and gave me an excellent ride across country.  But much to everyone’s amusement I managed to get 1.2 (naughty) time faults for going too fast.

However we had enough of a lead to be able to afford a couple of penalties.

Top Biats was on excellent form having not had an outing for quite a while.  He did a lovely test to get 29 and with an excellent double clear adding nothing to that.  He has got one more run before Lion d’Angers which is very exciting.

Topaze du Plain also jumped a very impressive double clear, but unfortunately he slightly lost the plot in the dressage.  He warmed up very well but then when he got into the arena he heard the cross country commentary and the whistles blowing and that was that!
