It was a much better day at Withington today, and my youngsters really came up with the answers.

I got a late entry for Grafennacht in the Open Novice, and she did a lovely test, followed by a double clear. Frustratingly I got a few time faults but she gave me a very good round and will really have benefited from her day out.

Under Oath also did a very decent test of 26.  He show jumped so well and was really unlucky to breathe on the last fence which came down.  He is really getting stronger all the time and will soon be jumping regular clear rounds.  I took him easily around the cross country but he took it all in and went all the straight routes.

Centurian Bay was having his first Novice run, and couldn’t have done better.  For some reason he ended up in the Open Novice, but he did a very pleasing test to get 30.  I was delighted with that as he was only 4 marks behind Grafennacht who is a year ahead and does a very decent test.  He then didn’t put a foot wrong jumping a superb double clear, and making it all feel like a breeze in the park.

Angus was riding Greenfort Gorgeous George again and had a very satisfactory double clear in the 100.  He got a dressage of 35, but that was quite respectable.

Adam has very happily now got his 100 qualification so is ready to tackle a Novice.  He led the dressage on 23, got 4 in the show jumping and clear cross country.

Lexi had a very successful first Advanced outing on Chico’s Man.  They got 31 in the dressage which was very respectable, had a couple of rails down jumping, Lexi was overall very satisfied.  He gave her a lovely clear cross country making it all look very easy.
So she is now looking forward to her first 4*S at Chatsworth aiming to get qualification.
