Aston le Walls managed to pull it all together and carry on with their Intermediate today despite our crazy weather.  The course was obviously soft but not too difficult and there was nothing that should have caused much trouble.  Apart from an un-ceremonial ducking in the water I had a pretty happy day.

Duke Legacy did a very good double clear in the Intermediate, he added a few time faults to his nice dressage of 32 and I was very pleased with his last run before Millstreet.  He finished 8th and got 2 points for a double clear.

Cayiano was having his first Intermediate run and he is hopefully off to Chatsworth at the weekend.  We thought it would be good for him to have an outing to settle him a little bit more, ready for the Chatsworth excitement. I was very pleased with his test of 32, he jumped a lovely clear and gave me a superb ride cross country until getting his legs in a knot landing into the water and capsizing.  Happily he is absolutely fine with hardly a nick on him, but he and I did get jolly wet.

Gurtera Jimmy Clover was out again, I was pleased with his dressage and he rolled the very last pole. Probably because we had just gone a bit too quick, and he felt great cross country giving me a good solid clear.

The Aston team did an amazing job getting us all in and out.  Let’s keep our fingers crossed that they miss the showers like they did today, and they manage to run all their days until Sunday.

I am off to Chatsworth tomorrow, and sadly we have lost the Novice already.  Fingers crossed they hang in there for the rest, there is a lot in the balance this weekend
