Had a good day with Centurian Bay at Pontispool where he has won his second ever BE point. He did a nice test that I was pleased with, there was a bit of crookedness and wobbling but he got 30 and was lying 2nd. He then jumped a lovely clear show jumping again and he feels like he is really getting the hang of trebles now.  His cross country has really come on from Tweseldown and he gave me a very decent round. It was a much more demanding and difficult track than Tweseldown with Eric Winter designing the course and asking plenty of questions with skinnies and corners.  He was very genuine and straight and never waivered off the line.  I took him quite quietly as it is only his third Novice and the ground was pretty firm.  They had done a good job putting out some landings and making the ground very level, but with the best will in the world you still would have to say it was pretty firm.  So he had 15 time faults which put him out of the reckoning but I am more than happy with the progress. He is now going to have two weeks in the field to relax and digest before the second half of his season commences.

Adam was not quite so fortunate, after a pleasing dressage and one down, Secret Night walloped a corner hard and Adam frustratingly came off.  Both Adam and Secret Night are fine and I am sure will have learned from the hiccup.

Lexi and Chico’s Man had a top day and won their Open Intermediate section, so she is very happy.

It is now all systems go for Tatts, the last few bits of preparation are going on and we are ready to leave on Monday night.

While we are away it will be pretty quiet at home with not many in work with the Novices being off.  Little Fire and Oratorio will probably now start to do a bit of hacking and get back on the road after their three easy weeks.
