Burnham Market - dressage

I am very pleased to have Grafennacht at Burnham Market. She did a pretty decent test and got 27.9 which has got her in 8th place. You have got to be pleased with that lying in 8th place on an 8yo in her first 4*L, it is not a bad start. She did some very solid trot work, her changes were not quite perfect, and she did a bit of a dodgy halt to finish but she was otherwise very relaxed and focused.
It is very lovely weather her at Burnham, beautiful clear skies but quite dry ground. They are working very hard on it with spiking, as I speak. It is not quite anything like finished, and with the best will in the work it is not going to be soft. I am fairly relaxed and am not going to be in a hurry anyway. She is not here to come out on top, I would love to get a 4* long qualification ahead of next season, so I am hoping she jumps all the jumps.
Alec has done an amazing job here and everyone is very positive and happy to be here, so let’s hope tomorrow rewards everyone’s efforts.
