Aston Le Walls

 Quite a late start for the Novice on Wednesday, resulting in a XC time of 19:30! The dressage went very well, Princess was in first and did a great job, the judge really liked her and awarded a 23.3. She showjumped well, had one down as was a little bit extravagant and spooky. She jumped well XC in a better gear than she was last week at Cirencester - much more confident. The course was not overly difficult but she felt great. Quite a few time faults because I took a wrong turn... Then it was on to Lennon who I was very pleased with. Another nice test to score 27.8 - very solid and confident. Show Jumping clear and XC - an infuriating glance off at the end of the course when he was going really well. He was taking on everything and was very confident but I probably just let him come too quick to the B element - jockey needs to wake up a bit! Finally Vicky Brakes horse had a great day - my first win for as long as I can remeber and even went inside the time XC! 28, double clear - a happy end to the day!
