Highclere

Highclere today was cancelled due to adverse weather and deteriorating ground conditions.  This was a shame as I had four horses entered for the advanced but the event was right to abandon if they felt conditions were not safe.  I had flown home from Germany last night in order to be back for Highclere so this has meant a day at home and the chance to get all the horses worked.  The team at home do a great job of keeping all the horses going but it is nice to have a day to school them all before I head off again to Burghley tomorrow.

Jackie & Cool Mountain arrived back from Germany mid afternoon after a long but good journey through the night.  Ollie seems in good order after the Championships and has enjoyed the afternoon sunshine in the field.  He will have a quiet few weeks now before he starts his winter holidays.

It is not too late to join me on our Fox-Pitt Eventing Club Course Walk on Thursday at Burghley.  If you are interested please contact the office (01258 471001) or click here.
