Euro Champs
At the end of day one of Dressage Team GBR found themselves in second place behind a fiercely competitive German squad. A satisfactory test, marred by a momentary blip and error of course, by Nicola Wilson (Opposition Buzz) to post 52.7 and a good test by Piggy French (Jakata) to score 40.4, sitting in third overnight, left Team GBR 13.8 marks adrift form the leaders.
Polly Stockton, who was due to do her test first thing this morning, sadly had to withdraw from the competition after Regulus suffered a minor injury and wasn’t quite right when warming up this morning. This is really unlucky for Polly but doesn’t affect team standings as Polly was running as an individual.
Laura Collett, also riding as an individual & on her senior team debut, has scored a very impressive 35.4 this morning to sit in equal 2nd at this stage. After some very competitive test this morning Piggy now sits in equal 6th and Nicola in 23rd.
Mary King (Imperial Cavalier) is due to do her test at 12.18 (11.18 UK time) and William (Cool Mountain) at 4.18pm (3.18pm UK time).
