European Championships

Team GBR have arrived safely in Luhmuhlen ahead of this week’s European Championships.

William, Jackie and Cool Mountain were joined by Mary King, her groom Jody and Imperial Cavalier for the long journey from Dorset to Germany.  They left on Monday evening and arrived in Luhmuhlen on Tuesday afternoon.

Last night the French stole the show at the ‘Nations Got Talent’ contest with their rendition of Snow White, sadly Team GB’s Spice Girl’s tribute didn’t impress the judges!

This afternoon all the Team GBR horses passed the trot up. 

Britain is drawn 13 of the 14 teams competing and first to go for the Brits will be trailblazer Nicola Wilson (Opposition Buzz) who do their dressage at 11.04 tomorrow.  Piggy French (Jakata) are on at 15.04 tomorrow with the other four members of the squad on Friday.

It doesn’t appear that there is any live coverage of the dressage but don’t forget you can watch all the cross country and show jumping action live with coverage on the BBC’s Red Button starting on Saturday at 9.30 and Sunday at 12.40.  You can also see Saturday’s cross country on Freeview from 11.05 and the full Highlights with Rishi Pursad will be shown on BBC2 at 15.15.
