We had a very successful day at Gatcombe.

Gaucho finished third in his OI section.  He did a good test of 28 and jumped a lovely clear. He got 6 time faults across country and felt really good.  I let him run on a bit but I never pushed him, and this will be his last run before Boekelo.

Henton for Fun finished fourth in his Intermediate section.  His test wasn’t as smooth as usual and he felt very excited to be out.  However, he still got a good score of 31.  He jumped a lovely clear and then got 9 time faults across country, and gave me a great ride making it feel nice and easy.  He has now got one more outing before heading for Lion d’Angers.

Luxury FH also had a good day finishing 7th in his Intermediate.  He did another good test of 27, jumped clear and was great across country.  He felt very straight and clean.  It was only his third intermediate gaining valuable experience before he goes to Lion d’Angers.

Deli Star Hero went very well in the OI.  He was a bit on edge in his dressage and scored 30.  He show jumped clear, and went really well across country getting 6 time faults.

Seacookie was also very pleased to be out again, he did a very calm test of 30, jumped a lovely clear, and I decided not to run him across country.

It was excellent to have such good weather and the ground was perfect, and it was a good feeling to be leaving Gatcombe (2) having not fallen off, it is not one of my luckiest Autumn venues!  We are back tomorrow with three horses and India on Shacklesborough.
