After the wet and crazy windy weather down in the South West I was very surprised to see that Oasby was still bone dry and rock hard.  They tried with the ground as best they could but it wasn’t the soft ground I had been dreaming of.

Little Fire was having his last run before Pau in the Intermediate, and he had am excellent outing,.  He did a very good test of 27, which without my error of course would have been 25.  He then jumped a lovely double clear feeling very relaxed and full of confidence,  and as ready as he could be for his first 4* in Pau.  The cross country course was rather straight forward and not very imaginative so he was not in any way challenged, but he had a fun spin.

Secret Night was having his first Intermediate run and also did a great double clear.  He is never surprised by anything and just canters around like it was a Novice.  He also did a nice test of 30, bits and bobs will improve, but I was very happy with how he went.

Summer at Fernhill was having his 2nd Novice round and really had come on enormously from Calmsden.  At Calmsden he was suffering with a bit of shock, but at Oasby took it all in his stride.  He did a pretty decent test of 30 with a couple of freestyle moments but I was pleased. He then jumped a good double clear and gave me an enjoyable ride.  Very gladly he is into Bicton on Friday so it will be excellent to give him his third outing.

Sadly Broadway was waterlogged which is typical, sums up this year, so sadly Inspiring Isa and Crunchie didn’t get their second outing.  I am still living in hope they could get into Bicton on Friday as it would be great to get another one under their belts.
