We had a very good day at Weston Park. The ground in all phases was pretty much perfect which was ideal for the horses.

I had Ramdam de Mons doing an Intermediate section, and I was very pleased with his test, he did some very good work even though he only scored 33.6. He was a bit tense in the show jumping which was a shame, and he rolled three poles, but it was very windy and he just felt a bit distracted. He was then excellent cross country and gave me a good ride over what was a fairly decent Intermediate track. There was a good variety of fences including three waters, and he will have learned an awful lot. I was very pleased with his round ahead of his first CIC2* next weekend.

I gave Luxury an Intermediate run after his big weekend at Burnham, and he came up with a very pleasing win. He led the dressage in his section with a score of 26.1, despite the wind he did a lovely test, really keeping his composure. He jumped a very confident clear show jumping and flew around the cross country with 4 time faults.

Chilli Morning had an excellent day in the Advanced. He did a superb dressage of 24.5, with some very relaxed and established work . I was particularly happy with his show jumping where he jumped a superb clear, jumping a very polished round. In the cross country he really enjoyed himself, feeling the old pro that he is. He took it all in his stride and got a few time faults, but I could not have been happier with his day.

Fernhill Pimms had an excellent Advanced outing finishing fourth. He was just behind Chilli in the dressage with a score of 25.4 which I was delighted with. His show jumping clear was one of his best rounds to date. And his cross country round felt fabulous. He was very strait and confident, and as conditions were good I pushed him on a bit, even thought his 21.6 time faults might not look like I did!

The Weston Park team did a brilliant job with the Intermediate and Advanced courses. I felt the courses rode superbly and had a great flow as well as being very educational. As always everyone was very friendly and we had a most enjoyable day.
