Pulborough

We have just rounded off the 2011 season for the one-day events at Pulborough.  For now all that is left is Pau CCI4* this week, for which we leave tonight.

I had a very pleasing win on my mother’s horse Machu Picchu.  She led from start to finish on 24.3 in her Novice section so I was delighted with her.  Freddie Mac had his first Novice run and apart from a green run out across country went really well.  He jumped another clear show jumping and did some lovely work in his dressage to score 31.4.  In the Open Novice, Before Time had a last quiet run before his holiday which was ideal.

Star time and Goldsmiths Enzo also both finished the season off well in the BE100.  They have come on hugely and it will be interesting to see how they look next season, both will benefit from a good holiday as they have had quite a busy time recently.

It was my first trip to Pulborough and I was very impressed with the cross country courses and given how dry it has been the ground was excellent.  It is an impressive venue, everyone was very helpful and friendly and I would certainly hope to go back.
