Oslo Straws Available

16.2 bay selle francais with the presence and attributes of a star.  He is by the famous sire Lando (by Lancier / Silvia [Raimondo]). Lando was Olympic show jumping individual silver medalist at Sydney in 2000. Lando's sire Lancier, is the son of the stallion of the century, Landgraf.

Oslo was the winner of the FEI World Championships for 6 year olds at Le Lion in 2008 and 2nd at the FEI World Championships for 7 year olds in 2009.  2010 saw him finish 2nd in his first CIC*** at Blair Castle and in the top 20 in his first CCI*** at Blenheim Palace.  Taken steadily across country on both occasions he picked up no jumping penalties and impressed William with the way he performed.

2011 was a fantastic season for Oslo.  He started the season with a couple of easy Open Intermediate runs before finishing 3rd in the competitive CIC*** at Chatsworth.   This was a great warm up for the CCI*** at Tattersalls which he won, leading from the out set.  He then went onto win the CIC*** 8 & 9yo class at Blenheim and then finished his season with a fantastic win at his first CCI**** in Pau.  With just one mistake in the dressage, followed by fautless jumping rounds (picking up just two SJ time penalties), he took the step up to four star in his stride.  His progression during 2011 proved just what a class horse he has become and has made London 2012 a very real possibility.

In 2009 Oslo sired 2 stunning colts from the two nominations made available. 2010 & 2011 led to a number of sales and we hope to have three more foals on the ground in 2012.

Owned by the Fox-Pitt Eventing Partnership Oslo was bought from France and was gelded at the end of his fifth year once some straws had been taken.

A limited number of straws are available for AI in 2011 / 12.

Following his increased success the cost of straws now stands at £3,000 plus VAT with a no foal no fee policy.
